BIO
Darren Sng is an award winning composer, conductor, and orchestrator. His work spans various genres of film, television, and games. Having been occasionally talked out of writing overly-ambitious music in his earlier years, he remains ironically driven by a stubborn urge to challenge musical conventions in extreme yet meaningful ways.
His composing work include the scores to the BAFTA Yugo nominated film 'Orchids: Darwin's Conundrum', and the International Documentary Award winning documentary 'What A Day, What A Life'. Darren's most recent score to the feature documentary 'Birds Of War' is soon to be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026.
As an orchestrator and assistant, Darren has worked with a range of composers including Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, Matthew Herbert, Adam Price, Kate Simko, and Aleksandra Vilcinska. He has also recorded and conducted at venues such as AIR Lyndhurst Studios and Abbey Road Studios.
Darren is an MA Graduate of the National Film and Television School, where he received the AVID Award For Excellence In Composition.
